I was by invited by fellow graphic designer and cook Jay Li to photograph a dinner party created as a collaboration between his project Doubles and the Chinese-American company Fly by Jing. Using high flash with a low ISO film, I sought to create a series which highlighted the exceptional textures and colors of the dishes, the vibrance of FBJ’s chili oil, as well as the high energy of a shared meal.
